Grant Collins, an up-and-coming glass artist, established Northcote based Golden Hour Glass studio in 2021. Through Golden Hour Glass, he expresses his deep passion for the interplay between glass forms, light, and structure. His diverse portfolio encompasses lightboxes, lamps, lead-lights, and copper foiling creations. Grant draws inspiration from the rich biodiversity of Australian birds, aquatic species, and native flora and fauna.
The name 'Golden Hour' pays homage to the enchanting palette of colors that graces the landscape during sunset – a stunning fusion of reds, golds, and ambers. Grant skillfully captures the warm tones and luminous glow of the golden hour within his art, infusing his creations with the magical essence of this natural phenomenon.
